So it's little wonder that Calder celebrates the culture of the Emerald Isle with IrishFest, which returns to the track on Sunday, June 8. This year's festival features: Noel Kingston as Master of Ceremonies, spectacular music by Celtic Bridge, Irish singing legend Tommy Maken, St. Andrew's Pipes & Drums (above), and Irish dancers. Non-stop Irish song and dance will be the order of the day, with also plenty to eat and drink, including Guinness on tap! Also, Irish vendors will sell their products from the Emerald Isle. For the kids, there will be free Family Day fun. IrishFest activities run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the horses run throughout the day, starting at 12:25 p.m. | | | Photo By: Dan Dry | | | |
